And while I’m thinking about Old, Forgotten, and Soon to be Wasted: A Grand Photo Tour of our Leftover Meals, I though I’d let you know what happened to the leftovers:
- Thili Saaru: We made another meal out of it. One more to go! I put it on the stove and brought it to a boil before serving it, and I’ll do the same next time.
- Deli Turkey: Tossed it. It started to smell
- Bratwurst: Tossed it. The fat that had dripped out of it when it was grilled congealed all over it making it look very unappetizing.
- Hot Dogs: Put them in the freezer for next time.
- Burgers: Tossed it for reasons similar to Bratwurst.
- Fixings: We still have a little cheese. I grilled up the onions and have eaten most of them. Tossed the tomatoes and lettuce.
- Potato Salad: Tossed it, unfortunately. I had worked through a good bit of it, but when we got back from Charleston last weekend, something was growing on it.
- Baked Beans: We finished them.
- Lobster Ravioli: We finished this as well.
- Lasagna: I polished this off within two days.
- Ravioli and Ragu: They have been untouched since that post.
I know all of you were waiting on the edge of your seat for these results. I hope they didn’t disappoint.
