I’m getting sick of having the same meals at the same places, so I’m hoping some of you cvillebloggers will indulge me with a post in your blog (or comment on this one) with your favorite meal in Charlottesville.
For me, it’s definitely the Chicken Enchilada at Continental Divide. Unbelievably robust flavor, and they have one of the best homemade hot sauces I’ve ever had. I can’t remember what they call it, but you can just ask for the really hot orange stuff.
So let’s hear it, cause I’m hungry.

my favorite has to be from saigon cafe, hidden behind cville coffee. everything has a number–start with either the 101 or 102, and then perhaps a 501? the 501 is so so so good.
The Guadalajara Special at Guad is pretty rockin’.
I’m a sucker for the meatloaf and smashed potatoes at Bizou.
hi anoop. hi waldo.
i really like the linguini with marinara sauce at the tip top diner. is that weird?
Oooh.. good question, Anoop! Here are a few: (1) The tuna pita at South Street. Sushi-grade stuff. (2) The falafel sandwich at Tip Top (better than Sticks’ IMHO), (3) Stir-fried basiil leaves at Thai 99. I prefer medium heat to let the subtleties of the flavors come through. (4) Grilled vegetable burrito at Qdoba.
Let me know how you like them!
[…] years ago, Continental Divide has been my favorite restaurant in town. I’ve blogged about it here and here and here and here and here and here and I’ve never had anything bad to say. […]
