We went to see Ben Kweller last night. Here is a list of signs that I am old:
- We made it a point to show up after the opener.
- We drank water (although after a day of kickball and drinking, I think this is excusable).
- I spasmed my back drying off after a shower, so I stood in the back with excellent posture.
- We went to sit outside a few times because it was too hot.
- A Violent Femmes greatest hits compilation was playing while Kweller was setting up. Two girls walked up during “Gone Daddy Gone”, pointed at the ceiling, and asked us what band this was. There was a pause before we answered where we just stared at them as if they were from another planet.
- After hearing our favorite songs, we went home.
